What are Rhoclone 150 mcg injections?
Rhoclone 150 mcg Contains Monoclonal anti-D (Rho) immunoglobulin 300 mcg. It’s related to the category of Antibodies. The injection is given to prevent rhesus disease in RhD-negative women after delivery of an RhD-positive child, so it is always given to the mother and not to the newborn to restrict infections.
How is it used?
This injection is normally given in the arm or leg muscles. Within 28 weeks of pregnancy and within 72 hours of birth if your baby is Rh D positive. Before taking this injection, inform if you have any allergy-related issues and high blood pressure because in some rare cases, this injection can cause to an allergic reaction in the mother. And after the reaction mother suffered from fever and headache.
Rhoclone 150 mcg Injection is also given to people who have had mismatched transfusions (RhD-negative children or adults who have accidentally received RhD-positive blood). Also used at the time of abortion or any complication and accident during pregnancy, which is a big reason for bleeding across the placenta This Injection is given for Rh prophylaxis in pregnancy-related complications.
Other information
Rhoclone 150 MCG Injection may occur with the vaccine taken against measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR), chickenpox (varicella), makes them less effective. So, make the distance between at least three months after taking the Rhoclone injection for taking any other vaccine.
There are some side effects of injection, headache, fever, pain, swelling & redness at the injection site, feeling of discomfort.
