What is Cresp 200 mcg injection?
Cresp 200 mcg is a subcutaneous injection containing Darbepoetin alfa as its active medicine. It is an antineoplastic drug that belongs to the class of medications called hematopoietic growth factors. It is used in treating anemia (low hemoglobin level in blood) due to long-term kidney disease and chemotherapy. Cresp 200 mcg injection is effective in treating certain types of cancer. The injection works by increasing the production of red blood cells in bone marrow (soft and spongy tissue inside of bones, where blood is produced). It is also used to treat anemia caused by chronic kidney disease in patients on dialysis.
