What is Emprogest gel?

Emprogest gel is an 8% progesterone vaginal gel. Progesterone 8% of the active ingredient, is a female hormone. It helps in regulating ovulation and the menstrual cycle in women. The gel belongs to the category of medicines known as estrogen hormones used to treat female infertility and to aid pregnancy. The gel is also used to restore the menstrual cycle in women who have missed their periods. Emprogest Gel is prescribed during the IVF procedure.

5. Gently insert the applicator into your vagina, similar to inserting a tampon applicator, until it feels comfortably positioned.
6. Press the plunger fully to release the gel deep inside the vagina
7. Remove and discard the applicator immediately. Do not reuse it.
8. Wash your hands again after application.

Other information

It is intended for intra-vaginal use only. In some cases, Emprogest Vaginal Gel may cause abdominal pain, headache, constipation, nausea, and breast pain/enlargement. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
