Description

What is Exhep 60 mg injection?

Exhep 60 mg is an Enoxaparin injection.

  • It belongs to the category of drugs called Anticoagulants.
  • It contains Enoxaparin, a form of low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) to treat blood clots in severe medical conditions.
  • It works by stopping the formation of blood clots.
  • Exhep 60 mg also prevents the existing blood clots from growing bigger in size.

A blood clot is a mass of platelets, proteins, and cells in the blood that stick together. They can be a result of various severe medical conditions. The most common causes of blood clots are unstable angina (intense localised pain), long periods of bed rest due to illness, heart attack, and clots formed in your dialysis machine’s tubes.

Blood clots can occur in any body part, causing conditions including heart attack, stroke, organ damage (even coma or death), or paralytic attack.

Uses

  • Exhep 60 mg injection is widely used in pregnancy after successful IVF implantation of the embryo. In IVF, the enoxaparin injection prevents blood clots, reducing the risk of miscarriage. It is also used to improve uterine blood flow, which can support embryo implantation and maintain early-stage pregnancies.
  • During dialysis.
  • Used for Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT): Prevention and treatment of blood clots in the deep veins, especially after surgeries like hip or knee replacements.
  • To treat severe chest pain (angina), prevent heart complications and manage Pulmonary Embolism (PE), i.e. blood clots that travel to the lungs.
  • Exhep 60 mg injection can also be used to reduce the risk of blood clot formation caused by prolonged periods of immobility or cancer therapy.
  • These injections help prevent the growth of existing blood clots.

Precautions

‼️ Exhep 60 mg injection is not recommended for use if you are bleeding heavily or have any pre-existing conditions (such as stomach ulcer or stroke) that can increase the risk of internal bleeding.
