What is Materna HMG 75 IU Injection?
Materna HMG 75 IU Injection is a Menotropin Injection. It is a combination injection used to treat infertility in men and women. Menotropins are a mixture of two hormones, namely luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Both LH and FSH occur naturally in women and are involved in reproductive functions. The hormone is Human Menopausal Gonadotropin, is extracted from the urine of women who have attained menopause. Such women have urine rich in FSH and LH hormones that can help in treating both women’s infertility and male hypogonadism in men.
Uses
Materna HMG 75 IU Injection belongs to the class of drugs called gonadotropins. It’s used in the treatment of infertility in women and men.
- In men, it increases testosterone levels, promoting growth in sperm count.

How does it work?

In females, women whose ovaries are unable to release an egg for fertilisation during the ovulation period. It helps in egg (ovum) growth and stimulates the release of the mature eggs from the ovaries into the uterus.
