What is Folisurge 75 IU Injection?
Folisurge 75 is an IVF injection that is used for the treatment of male & female infertility. This injection helps stimulate the egg and releases a healthy and mature egg. This increases the chances of a successful and healthy pregnancy. In some cases, Folisurge 75 injection is also used by doctors for male patients to improve sperm production. This male condition is also known as hypogonadism.
Uses
Folisurge 75 is prescribed by a doctor to treat infertility in women patients who are having trouble getting pregnant. The active ingredient in this injection is recombinant Human follicle-stimulating hormone. (follitropin alfa). It helps in stimulating follicles, preparing them for ovulation. Once the follicles have attained their respective size, they are ready for ovulation.
In men, it helps in treating their health condition called hypogonadism. It increases sperm count and improves overall sperm motility.
How does it work?
Folisurge 75 injection is injected into the body under the observation & guidance of a doctor. It means it is given only on certain days, usually, the dosage starts from the second day of the menstrual cycle, and the dosage could last for as long as 7 days, to get the respective size of the follicles. Once the egg is mature, it is retrieved and fertilized in labs. Once fertilized after successful incubation of the fertilized egg, the embryo is transferred and attached to the uterus.

Some side effects from Folisurge 75 like bloating, swelling, ovarian cysts, nausea, vomiting, rashes, itching, breast tenderness & pain.
How to store?
- Keep 2 °C – 8 °C in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
- It is a single-use injection. Once opened, use it immediately. After use, discard it.
- If there’s leftover medication, discard it.
