Folisurge 150 IU Injection is a FSH injection containing Follitropin Alfa and used for the treating female infertility. Intas Pharma manufactures this injection in India. The medication helps stimulate multiple follicles present in the ovaries before ovulation. The treatment lasts as long as the size of the follicle is big enough, ready for fertilisation.

The injection contains Follitropin Alfa. It is a purified form of follicle-stimulating hormone. FSH helps the ovaries stimulate the ovaries. Nourishes multiple follicles and prepares them for fertilization. It gives a boost to this hormone to help with egg production.

Uses

This increases the chances of a successful and healthy pregnancy. In some cases, the injection is also used by doctors for male patients to improve sperm production. This male condition is also known as hypogonadism.

How to use it?

Folisurge 150 IU injection is injected into the muscles of women patients under observation. This procedure starts during specific days; usually, the dosage starts from the second day of the menstrual cycle, and the dosage could last for as long as 7 days. After achieving the respective size of the follicles. Once the egg is mature, it is retrieved and fertilized in labs. Once fertilized after successful incubation of the fertilized egg, the embryo is transferred and attached to the uterus.
