What is Tenvir-EM Tablet?
Tenvir-EM is a combination medicine that contains two antiretroviral drugs: Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate and Emtricitabine. It is used to preventive measure against HIV infection (also known as PrEP – Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis). The medication is also effective for combination therapy to treat HIV Type1 infection. The tablet works by stopping the virus from multiplying in your body and lowering the viral load in the blood. It is a global product for individuals who are at a higher risk of getting infected with HIV. Tenvir EM Tablet is recommended in guidelines by WHO, CDC, and India’s NACO for HIV prevention and treatment.

How It Works
It is a combination of two medications, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate and Emtricitabine. Both ingredients work as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. They block an enzyme that requires virus ability to replicate. Taking this medication stops the virus from growing inside the body. Over time, this helps reduce the viral load and protects your immune system.
